Layoffs at refugee resettlement program impact Sacramento and Stanislaus counties

A mass layoff at the International Rescue Committee is expected to impact nearly 60 employees between its Sacramento and Turlock offices by the end of the year.

The majority of layoffs, 48, will take effect Sept. 30, with the rest spread out between October and December, according to documents filed with California’s Employee Development Department.
