Louisville is adding four new soccer mini-pitches following a citywide announcement. Louisville Parks and Recreation announced the four-facility buildout Wednesday, describing it as a partnership between the city, Louisville City FC’s charitable Racing Foundation, and the mayor’s office to give kids in more neighborhoods a free place to play close to home.
The agency, which oversees more than 120 parks and recreational spaces across the city, said the new courts will replace deteriorating surfaces and expand access to organized play, according to Louisville Parks and Recreation. A city budget page lists Louisville Metro Government’s 2025-2026 Approved Executive Budget. Mayor Greenberg’s April 23, 2026 budget proposal included $3 million for deferred parks maintenance investments, according to Louisville Metro Government.
