MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — A detective with the Murfreesboro Police Department has been indicted after a joint investigation revealed he used confidential funds for personal purchases, officials said.
At the request of 16th Judicial District Attorney General Jennings Jones, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury began investigating allegations of financial misconduct involving Reginal Primas on Jan. 7.

During the investigation, TBI agents reportedly determined that Primas used confidential funds from the MPD for personal purchases, falsified a government document and accessed the Criminal Justice Portal for purposes that were “unrelated to his official duties.”
