(FOX40.COM) — An elderly man went missing Wednesday and may be driving a pickup truck near Elk Grove, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP sent out a Silver Alert for 81-year-old Sammy Cunningham on behalf of the Folsom Police Department. This particular alert is for “elderly, or developmentally or cognitively-impaired” persons who are deemed at-risk, according to CHP’s website. Cunningham is an Alzheimer’s patient, Folsom police said.
Cunningham is 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and bald with blue eyes. Folsom police said that he left his son’s Rocklin home, stating that “he was going back to Florida to be with family.”
Folsom police said he was last seen at about 9 a.m. driving westbound in the area of Grant Line Road and East Stockton Boulevard south of Elk Grove. He is believed to be driving a white 2018 Ford F-150 truck with a black truck-bed cover, CHP said.
