Baytown man shot while grilling in park; teen suspects at large

BAYTOWN, Texas – A Baytown man was shot and airlifted to a hospital Tuesday night after an argument at a local park escalated into gunfire, according to radio transmissions.

The shooting happened around 10:11 p.m. at 1502 Nolan Road. The victim, described by a neighbor as a man in his late 60s, was barbecuing in the park when two teenagers began arguing with him. The dispute quickly turned violent.

The man was treated for a gunshot wound to the abdomen at the scene before being life-flighted to an area hospital. Radio transmissions indicated he had a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 14 out of 15, suggesting he was in stable condition…
