Sculpture in the Park: 42 years, 189 sculptures and counting

More than 8,000 people are expected to turn out for the 42nd Sculpture in the Park, Loveland’s renowned juried sculpture show.

This weekend, 168 artists will display their work, large and small, at the High Plains Arts Council’s annual event at Benson Sculpture Garden, drawing art lovers from around the country and even internationally.

This is the 42nd year of the show, which promotes the local art industry and raises money to buy sculptures for public display. So far, the event has resulted in a total of 189 pieces that are now on display in Benson Sculpture Garden, 1125 W. 29th St., and across the street on the north end of North Lake Park.

The show kicks off on Friday with a Patron Party from 3-8 p.m. Limited tickets are sold for $100 each…
