AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – The Freedom of Praise Church on Gordon Highway experienced some flooding from the rains on Thursday.
Members say it’s a constant problem due to the lack of drainage in the area.
“The first year, it flooded really bad,” said Sharon Sturgis, a member of the church. “Every year after that, if we get a hard rain, it floods the church. Outside is flooded and the whole building inside is flooded. Ditch is full and clogged up with trash. Maybe if they dig the ditch a little deeper, it may help it drain off.”…
