HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — Penn State Health celebrated “one of the largest philanthropic contributions” in its history with the reveal of new signage at its children’s hospital in Hershey.
Following a $50 million gift from philanthropist Tom Golisano last October, the children’s hospital located at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center received its new signage at a July 24 event, officially updating its name to Golisano Children’s Hospital.

“As the Golisano name is joined to our Children’s Hospital, the transformational support of Tom Golisano is joined with our commitment to advancing care for children and families across Pennsylvania and beyond,” Michael Kupferman, chief executive officer of Penn State Health, said in a post on Penn State’s website. “Our first-year allocations reflect both our strategic priorities and Mr. Golisano’s long-standing commitment to children with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, cardiac conditions and access to care close to home.”
Penn State Health previously stated that the bulk of Golisano’s donation would go toward programs at the children’s hospital, including expanded autism programs, general behavioral health, developmental pediatrics and “services for the whole family.”…
