LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A former maintenance manager at a Louisville taco manufacturing plant has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Teasdale Foods, claiming he was fired in February after raising food safety concerns following a bird infestation at the facility on West Magnolia Avenue.
Chris Martin’s lawsuit alleges that after January’s winter storm shut down operations, he reopened the plant and discovered birds inside. He was ordered to shoot them. His lawsuit claims his requests to properly clean the facility before resuming production were ignored.

Video provided by Martin’s attorney Tom Coffey shows approximately a dozen birds flying inside the plant. Coffey said Martin was directed to eliminate the birds rather than conduct a thorough cleanup.
“They kill off as many birds at this plant as they can,” Coffey said. “After they kill off these birds, there’s a subsequent bird problem.”…
