Long Beach Cafe, a Thai and Vietnamese restaurant that has served Lakewood and Tacoma since 2006, has new owners and a new name, but the chef remains.
The Dang and Maika Mai bought Long Beach from chef-owner Long Le this spring. The couple has been busy remodeling the restaurant, from new floors and decor to an updated kitchen, in hopes of attracting a wider and hopefully younger customer base. They have also renamed it Lemongrass and Chili.
The restaurant at 10114 Bridgeport Way SW, between an Emerald City Smoothie and Can Am Pizza, has been closed for several weeks for renovations. The Dangs anticipate reopening mid-August…
