Friday afternoon, one person was shot in the leg during a shooting in a busy auto parts store parking lot in Erie. The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. at the corner of Fairmount Parkway and Broad Street.
The victim was transported to a hospital with injuries that Erie police described as “serious but seemingly non-life-threatening.” More than a dozen officers responded to the scene within minutes to tape off the area and begin an investigation.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the shooting occurred in broad daylight in front of several shoppers. A couple who saw the incident said two men were arguing outside the store before one man pulled out a gun.
