RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Public Schools (RPS) is continually looking to fill teacher vacancies through a talent office program. A growing number of Richmond teachers are taking the deal, as the school division has met a 150-teacher shortage gap divisionwide.
Starting in RPS in 2023, the program is called Supporting and Empowering Educator Development, also known as “SEED.” More than 350 teachers have since completed it, including Woodville Elementary teacher Brandon Webster in the East End.
