COUER d’ALENE, Idaho – The Coeur d’Alene Police Department said it was investigating the drowning death of a Spokane man at the Independence Point docks.
It announced the investigation on Saturday afternoon and said officers responded to a report of the incident at 1:15 p.m. The report had said there was a man in distress who had been submerged in the water for “an extended period of time,” according to police.
When officers arrived, the man had been removed from the water and a citizen was doing CPR. Officers and medical personnel took over afterward, but the man was declared dead at the scene, police said…
