A Cleveland man was recently sentenced to jail by United States District Judge J. Philip Calabrese for his role in a conspiracy to traffic illegal drugs from the US-Mexico border to Ohio.
Sherman Thomas, 43, was sentenced to nearly 23 years in prison after a four-day trial in June 2025. A federal jury found him guilty of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, using or maintaining a drug premises, and possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon.
