ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — It’s Native American night at Isotopes Park, and guests got to admire the cultural designs of this year’s jersey. The jerseys were designed by Evon “Snowflake” Martinez, who is a renowned potter from San Ildefonso and Cochiti Pueblos.
Martinez says her custom design for the Isotopes honors the state’s Indigenous tribes in a uniquely New Mexican way. “When I started working on this, my first thing I did was pray.
