NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF)- An unexpected water main break this morning/afternoon in a portion of Clearwater/North Augusta caused the Breezy Hill Water & Sewer Company to turn the water off to certain areas. A boil water advisory has been issued for certain streets.
There has been no confirmed contamination of the system. However, because of the interruption in service, the potential for contamination exists.
They are advising affected residents to vigorously boil their water for at least one full minute prior to drinking or cooking, until further notice. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes…
