GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Storms are rumbling across Michigan, bringing the risk of heavy rain and strong winds.

The storms were expected to reach the Lake Michigan shoreline around 3:30 p.m. Sunday and Grand Rapids between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for a number of West Michigan counties, including Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Ionia, Kalamazoo, Kent, Muskegon, Ottawa, St. Joseph and Van Buren, until 7 p.m.
