A former Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Detention Deputy has been sentenced for domestic assault in connection with an incident on Feb. 5, 2026, that prompted a Maple Grove Hospital lockdown.

Dillon Matthew Field, 30, was sentenced to a year of probation and community service on Friday.

According to the criminal complaint, Field was at the hospital, where a woman was delivering a baby. He stood in the door and yelled at her and her mother, “continuing to get more and more aggressive.” The woman in labor said she did not want him there, but when her mother went to get a nurse, the complaint said Field “shoved her out.”…
