The Mercy Center for Women is making progress on its efforts to transform the old Sacred Heart School building into a housing complex.
According to Mercy Center for Women Executive Director Jennie Hagerty, they have officially wrapped up phase one of the $7 million project, after replacing the building’s roof.
Construction crews are now renovating all of the rooms to transform them into 20 apartments.
Once project is completed, the 42,000 square foot building will help house 40 individuals who are experiencing a housing crisis…
