On Tuesday, Aug. 4, a young woman from Memphis received the gift of reliable transportation — a refurbished vehicle that will help her continue to care for her children and serve her community. The donation was made possible by the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides program, vehicle donor Allstate and repair partner Carey’s Body Shop, with support from Enterprise.

The presentation, sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners, took place at the Pinnacle Financial Partners office in Memphis, Tenn. Pinnacle Financial Partners is a level one member of the NABC. This is the fourth NABC Recycled Rides presentation on the Memphis campus, along with two NABC First Responder Emergency Extrication (F.R.E.E.) training events held there.

Recipient and Vehicle
The recipient was nominated by Agape Child & Family Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children and families in the Memphis area with healthy homes through holistic, wrap-around support. Serving more than 10,000 individuals annually, the organization employs a comprehensive poverty-reduction strategy that addresses family stability from multiple angles.
A 2022 Nissan Altima, donated by Allstate and refurbished by the technicians at Carey’s Body Shop, was presented to Eriyana Brown, a young woman from Memphis who works full-time and has been promoted because of her tremendous work ethic. Although she does not have a reliable vehicle, Brown has managed to get to work on time every day.
