Prichard mayor Carletta Davis asks State of Alabama to fund Prichard Stadium restoration

PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — Prichard Mayor Carletta Davis said she is looking for Prichard Stadium to be restructured and funded by the state of Alabama.

According to a Facebook video post from Davis, she wants Prichard Stadium to be restored and have the ‘Battle of Prichard’ between Blount and Vigor back at the stadium.

Davis said she contacted the Alabama Department of Environmental Management for a Phase I assessment. She said the assessment may qualify Prichard Stadium as a brownfield designation for the state to identify environmental and development problems and open the door for state financial support.
