AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Newly obtained arrest reports provide more detail about two recent arrests involving the 19-year-old wanted in the hit-and-run crash that sent a fuel tanker into the ABC 7 studios.
ABC 7 News previously reported that Elijah Rey Garcia had been arrested on DWI, drug and gun charges in the seven weeks before Friday’s crash. The newly obtained reports show alcohol was also involved in both of those earlier cases.
First Arrest
On June 21, Amarillo police responded to reports of multiple gunshots near the 1400 block of North Lincoln Street.
