SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Applications are officially open for individuals and groups who want to participate in the 2027 Salt Lake City Temple Celebration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The celebration will take place from April 5 to October 1, 2027, allowing guests of all backgrounds and faiths ample opportunity to experience the newly renovated Salt Lake Temple and Temple Square.
How do I become a volunteer?
Individuals ages 16-years-old and older as of 2027 are invited to apply and serve as a volunteer at Temple Square during the celebration. Volunteers will work in a variety of roles including welcoming guests, answering questions, and working in behind-the-scenes support roles.
Volunteer duties may include:
- Greeting guests in the Conference Center plaza, lobby and auditorium
- Serving as an attendant at the Tabernacle or Assembly Hall
- Hosting guests in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, Relief Society Building and other buildings on the Temple Square campus
- Guiding visitors through exhibits
- Assisting at outdoor gathering areas throughout Temple Square
