East Nashville mother speaks out after child injured in drive-by shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 7-year-old is recovering after multiple shots were fired into an East Nashville duplex early Monday morning, hitting the girl as she slept.

“I’m not to be played with,” said Dasia Barber, the mother of the injured girl. “I’m never going to stop. My daughter was hurt. Y’all are dealing with a really, really pissed off mother.”

The Metro Nashville Police Department said officers were called to the scene in the 1600 block of Treutlan Place, near McFerrin Park, just after 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 10…
