Northside Music Festival brings music, food and community

Lawn chairs and vendors lined Foreland Street and Allegheny Commons as Northside residents gathered for the third annual Northside Music Festival.

Organized by Ben Soltesz, the festival held performances from more than 75 bands over the course of the threeday event, backed by a lineup of food trucks and cuisines from local vendors like Kona’s Ice of Pittsburgh West and PGH Crepes.

Festivities began around 6 p.m. on July 10, with music from local rock bands like the Redlines who performed at the Iron City Beer Stage on Foreland and indie artist Danny Golden who performed on the festival’s second stage, WYEP stage at Allegheny City Brewing…
