Medical technology company plans new headquarters in Byron Township

BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Medical technology company Shoulder Innovations is expanding and moving its headquarters from Grand Rapids to Byron Township, where it plans to build a new facility and add dozens of jobs.

The company is currently headquartered at 1535 Steele Avenue SW, between Burton and Hall streets. According to documents available on Shoulder Innovations’ investor relations website, the new headquarters will be located on Venture Hills Boulevard, which is off 64th Street SW between Byron Center and Burlingame avenues.

Mechanical contractor to add 70 jobs in Comstock Township, St. Joseph

Economic development agency The Right Place says the move will bring Shoulder Innovations’ local operations under one roof and allow for room to grow. Preliminary site plans call for a two-story building with office and warehouse space, according to a release from the state. Once it’s built, employees from the current Grand Rapids facility will move to the Byron Township headquarters.

In total, the project carries a $4.9 million investment, state officials say. The expansion is also expected to create 42 new jobs, with accounting, information technology, quality, supply chain and administrative roles available. Wages will start around $24 per hour…
