YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Two central Pennsylvania Amazon employees are accused of orchestrating a “large-scale donation fraud scheme,” where more than $250,000 worth of items were stolen and sold for their own use, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Court records show Melissa Arvey, 46, and her husband, Gregory Arvey, 59, both of Etters, face charges of theft and conspiracy. Melissa also faces a charge of deceptive business practices.

Fairview Township Police said in the affidavit filed Aug. 7 that investigators learned Gregory was employed as Waste Coordinator at the Lewisberry, York County, distribution center.
One of his tasks included handling donations of unwanted inventory at the distribution center, police said. He oversaw the program, scheduled charities’ pick-ups, and was supposed to ensure donations followed Amazon’s policy…
