Prichard man sentenced to prison on gun, assaulting officer charges

PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — A Prichard man has been sentenced to prison time on a gun charge and an assault on an officer charge.

According to a Department of Justice news release, 25-year-old Delando Travon Perkins was sentenced to 46 months in prison for illegally possessing multiple firearms as a convicted felon and assaulting law enforcement officers.

The release said that in February 2026, law enforcement officials arrested Perkins at his home on Cheha Drive on an outstanding warrant for drug crimes.

When they were going to arrest Perkins, they found him on a four-wheeler wearing an “ESPN” chain, which is typically worn by members of a Prichard gang, according to officials…
