A Philadelphia man will spend over a decade in prison for robbing or trying to rob armored trucks on multiple occasions.
On Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, Dante Shackleford, 27, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 11 ½ years in prison, five years of supervised release and $119,100 in restitution.
Shackleford participated in the following incidents:
- The attempted robbery of a Brinks truck in Philadelphia on July 15, 2025
- The attempted robbery of a Brinks truck in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, on July 22, 2025
- The robbery of a Brinks truck in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, on Aug. 12, 2025
- The attempted robbery of a Brinks truck in Philadelphia on Oct. 3, 2025
In total, Shackleford stole $119,100. After being indicted in January 2026, Shackleford pleaded guilty in April to Hobbs Act robbery, attempted Hobbs Act robbery, and carrying, using and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence…
