Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and longtime partner Georgina Rodriguez have officially tied the knot in a civil ceremony held in Cascais, Portugal. The event took place on Tuesday in the picturesque coastal town located about 20 miles west of Lisbon.
Ronaldo, 41, shared the happy news on Instagram and Facebook, posting a heartfelt photo of their hands adorned with wedding rings. Accompanying the image, he included a simple yet meaningful caption featuring their initials and a heart emoji.
The couple, who announced their engagement in August 2025, were joined by their five children at the ceremony. Rodriguez, 32, first met Ronaldo in 2016 while working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid.
Their romance, described by Rodriguez as giving her “butterflies,” was also featured in the Netflix series I Am Georgina. Ronaldo has called their meeting “love at first sight.”
On the field, Ronaldo continues to make history. Earlier this summer, he became one of the first two players alongside Lionel Messi to compete in six separate World Cups and remains the only player to have scored in all six tournaments.
Looking ahead, Ronaldo’s club team, Al-Nassr, is set to kick off their Saudi Pro League season against Al Fateh this Saturday at 2 p.m. EDT in Riyadh.
