SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A Springfield man is asking for the public’s help after two dirt bikes were stolen from a locked shed behind his home on Benton Avenue last week.
Jacob Holmes said he and his family were not home the night of Wednesday, Aug. 5, and he did not check on the bikes the following day. He discovered the theft Friday morning when he found the shed’s padlock had been cut.
“I walked into my shed over to my toolbox, and it wasn’t until I turned around and noticed they were gone,” Holmes said.
What was taken
Holmes believes the bikes were stolen sometime between 1 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Friday. The two stolen dirt bikes are described as:
- A 2026 red Honda CRF 110
- A 2009 blue Yamaha 125
Neither bike belonged to Holmes — both were the property of family members…
