An Ohio-based animal rights organization, Stop Animal Exploitation Now, is filing a federal complaint after Penn State Hershey Medical Center failed to treat a calf with health issues, and it died.
According to an inspection report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a review of facility records showed that on Feb. 17, a calf was brought in for a heart study, and two days later, animal care staff noticed blood in the calf’s feces.
