U of M poll finds 1 in 5 parents say kids lack enough friends

LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – A poll from the University of Michigan found that 1 in 5 parents said their child, ages 6 to 12, has no friends or does not have enough friends.

Ninety percent of parents said they believe their child would like to make new friends.

Sarah Clark, co-director of the poll from C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, said parents can help their children develop social skills, but they cannot make friends for them…
