PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Philadelphia man was sentenced Tuesday to 11½ years in federal prison and ordered to pay $119,100 in restitution after pleading guilty to charges stemming from a series of armed robbery attempts targeting Brinks armored trucks in Philadelphia and Montgomery County.
U.S. District Judge Gail A. Weilheimer sentenced Dante Shackleford, 27, to 138 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release, according to U.S. Attorney David Metcalf.
Shackleford pleaded guilty in April to one count of Hobbs Act robbery, three counts of attempted Hobbs Act robbery and one count of carrying, using and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. He had been charged in a superseding indictment in January…
