OKC Animal Welfare cat intake closed due to illness

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare’s cat intake is temporarily closed due to feline panleukopenia.

According to OKC Animal Welfare, feline panleukopenia is a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening viral disease that mostly affects cats.

The shelter has seen in increase in cases over the past few weeks. To help limit the spread, the shelter is renovating cat kennels and adding additional disinfection protocols…
