Leopold’s Ice Cream to host 107th Birthday Block Party in downtown Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A beloved Savannah institution is gearing up to celebrate more than a century of serving up sweet treats in the Hostess City.

Leopold’s Ice Cream has announced it will host its 107th Birthday Block Party on Saturday, August 15th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its flagship shop located at 212 E. Broughton Street. The annual celebration is free and open to the public.

This year’s block party will feature a full day of family-friendly entertainment, games, live music, and, of course, plenty of ice cream.

Event Agenda

  • 11:00 AM: Stratton Welcomes! Games and prizes begin (running all day)
  • 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Face painting by Glitterbox Studios
  • 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Performances by Magic Marc
  • 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Live music from the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra
  • 2:45 PM: Leopold’s Family Flag Presentation and “I Pledge”
  • 4:00 PM: Official cake cutting in the dining room with Stratton, Mary, and special guests
  • 4:45 PM: The “Longest Conga Line”
  • 5:00 PM: Closing remarks
