BEULAH — A Grand Rapids teen who saved a young woman from drowning in Benzie County has received another recognition for his actions, this time from the Michigan Sheriffs’ Association.
Weston Leete was presented with a lifesaving award from the association by Benzie County Undersheriff Greg Hubers during a brief ceremony on Aug. 13 at the private beach at the Congregational Summer Assembly on Crystal Lake.
“Your immediate response, attention to detail and application of CPR saved the life of another,” said Hubers. “The young lady fully recovered from her traumatic and life-threatening experience.”…
