Car Plows Into California Home and the Family Inside Had No Time to Run
Your home is supposed to be the one place where nothing can reach you. Then, on a regular Tuesday evening, a car comes through the wall.
That is exactly what happened to the Belletti family in Goleta on August 11, 2026. Around 7 p.m., a single vehicle crashed into the front of their home on the 120 block of Lassen Drive. Santa Barbara County Fire responded, red-tagged the property, and just like that, five people, four dogs, and two cats had nowhere to sleep.
The driver, a man reportedly in his mid-40s, refused DUI testing on scene. He was taken to Cottage Hospital for blood testing after claiming he blacked out. A can reportedly fell from his car on impact.
