SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The 5 Spot restaurants, part of the locally owned GLGSAV restaurant family, awarded $5,000 in scholarships to three of their team members through the sale of their fried pickle appetizers, a spokesperson said Thursday.
The Serving Success Scholarship is funded through community-driven efforts, with $1 from every fried pickle appetizer purchased at the 5 Spot restaurants going directly toward the scholarship fund.
