Bayou & Barrel brings Louisiana Cajun cuisine to Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – A new Cajun restaurant is bringing Louisiana-inspired flavors to northwest Oklahoma City, drawing on chef Chris McKenna’s more than 30 years in the metro restaurant industry.

Bayou & Barrel opened in June at 9120 N. MacArthur Blvd., offering dishes including crawfish étouffée, gumbo, blackened redfish and boudin sausage egg rolls. McKenna, who grew up in Edmond, said he wanted to spend the later part of his career serving the Cajun food he has always wanted to cook.
