Colorado State Patrol is looking for people who witnessed a semi crash Thursday morning, which closed C-470 and nearby Rooney Road for more than two hours during rush hour.
Around 7:30 a.m., CSP troopers and other emergency personnel responded to eastbound C-470 near the Interstate 70 interchange between Golden and Lakewood’s Green Mountain area.
Investigators believe a semi truck that had been traveling on eastbound I-70 took the exit onto C-470 but failed to navigate the exit properly. Thus it “went off the road across the median into the (C-470) eastbound lanes … (and) continued its path going off the road,” according to a CSP press release Thursday morning…
