A dozen freshmen students made history Thursday, Aug. 13, as the first students at St. Joseph Classical, a Chesterton Academy.
The newest private high school option in Sioux Falls is an expansion of the St. Joseph Classical Academy, which opened for Montessori preschool and hybrid K-8 school in August 2024. The school plans to open up to sophomores next year, followed by juniors in 2028 and seniors in 2029.
The school is accredited by the Chesterton Schools Network, which is part of the National Council for Private School Accreditation.
