New Hoover rules change where food trucks can operate in Hoover

HOOVER, Ala. (WBRC) – Your favorite food truck may be moving locations if they operate in Hoover. New rules are changing where food trucks can operate after Hoover City Council approved a stricter ordinance in June.

On June 22, Hoover City Council approved the ordinance which established new requirements for food truck operators, and added limits to where they can set up and conduct business.

Under the new rules, food trucks can operate at city-sanctioned special events, including HOA block parties and farmers’ markets, at approved food truck courts, and at certain office and industrial properties with authorization from the property or business owner…
