The 31st Woodward Dream Cruise officially rolls out Saturday, Aug. 15. Billed by organizers as the “world’s largest one-day celebration of classic car culture, the annual event draws an estimated 1 million visitors.
The annual event kickoff for this free, family friendly (and alcohol-free) experience is 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at the corner of East Nine Mile Road and Woodward Avenue.
Among the big draws, said Ferndale events coordinator and Dream Cruise board president Michael Lary, is Ferndale’s Emergency Vehicle Show, 1 to 7 p.m. Friday. At 5:30 p.m., the emergency vehicles take to Woodward for the Lights & Sirens Cruise parade…
