LifeHouse Theater invites audiences to journey beneath the waves for the return of its original musical, “The Little Mermaid,” opening Saturday, Aug. 22 and continuing weekends through Sept. 27.
Inspired by the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, this imaginative family production follows Angelica, a spirited young mermaid who dreams of discovering the mysterious world above the sea. When she rescues the dashing Prince William during a violent storm, Angelica finds herself caught between two worlds — and at the center of a dangerous scheme that threatens her family, her kingdom and her future.
With the help of Pépe, her comical turtle companion, and Scooter, an easily flustered seahorse, Angelica must confront the wicked sea witch Octavia and uncover the truth behind a powerful curse placed upon the Merfolk. Along the way, she discovers that courage, sacrifice, faith, and love may be strong enough to overcome even the darkest magic…
