1 killed, 2 injured in three-vehicle crash after tractor-trailer crosses I-40 median

POTTER COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — One driver was killed and two others were injured around 4 p.m. Thursday after a tractor-trailer crossed the center median of I-40 and collided with oncoming traffic.

Jimmy Broyles, 76, of Logan, New Mexico, died at the scene, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2022 Mack tractor-trailer was traveling west on I-40 when it crossed the median, went through a cable barrier and entered the eastbound lanes.
