BELLEVUE, Ky. (WKRC) – A long-vacant historic theater in Bellevue could soon be on the path to renovation after city council took action to support a project aimed at bringing the building back to life.
The Marianne Theater has been vacant since the 1990s, and the once-iconic building has been falling apart.
Earlier this week, the Bellevue City Council unanimously approved a memorandum of understanding supporting a renovation project led by the Marianne Arts and Education Center. The volunteer-led effort has been running “Lights On, Marianne.”
“The Marianne Arts & Education Center is a Kentucky nonprofit created to renovate and restore the historic Marianne Theater. The nonprofit is run by local volunteers. Lights On Marianne is the group’s fundraising campaign to restore the historic building.
