Yorkewood Apartments tenants resolve lawsuit over trash, rodents and living conditions

BALTIMORE (WBFF) — Five tenants who sued the owner and management company of a Baltimore apartment complex over allegations of persistent trash, rodents, and other issues have resolved the matter, according to attorneys involved in the case.

The settlement, reached shortly before publication of this Spotlight on Maryland story, ends a legal fight that put renewed scrutiny on conditions at Yorkewood Apartments in Baltimore’s Glen Oaks neighborhood.

The tenants filed suit July 21, alleging the problems persisted despite repeated complaints and city enforcement. The property owner and management company disputed the allegations and said they had spent tens of thousands of dollars addressing illegal dumping and maintaining the property…
