Family preparing to file lawsuit after local firefighter killed while off-duty

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Attorneys for the family of an off-duty firefighter, who was struck and killed last month by a suspected drunk driver while he was assisting a stranded motorist, said they are preparing to file a lawsuit in the case.

The victim, 29-year-old Cameron DuVall, dedicated his life to public service. Known to his family and friends as “Cam,” DuVall served as a firefighter and paramedic in North Randall.

Tragically, his life was taken while he was on his own personal time and doing what he was known for, helping someone in their time of need…
