A now-former Chartwells employee at Fletcher Middle School for more than 10 years was terminated after a level two screening found a drug charge almost 30 years old.
Zina Brown says the charge was from September of 1997 for the “sale or delivery of cocaine.”
“When I first got the job, they ran a background check on me, and there was nothing,” Brown said. “They go all the way back to 35 years and find something on me and fire me.”…
